What Snagg Does NOT Do

• Claim to own meme images
• Write detailed analysis or commentary
• Create the memes
• Generate original research
• Produce trend forecasts

What We Own

Fair Use Position

Snagg operates under Fair Use because:

1. Transformative Service - We provide discovery/curation, not just republishing
2. Limited Use - Images shown at reduced resolution in search results
3. Educational Purpose - Helps users find and understand meme formats
4. No Market Harm - Increases visibility of original content

DMCA Takedown Procedure

If You Believe Your Copyright Is Infringed

Send notice to:

Include:

1. Your Information - Full legal name, email address, phone number
2. The Infringed Work - Description of your copyrighted work and proof of ownership
3. Infringing Content Location - Direct URL to the infringing meme on Snagg
4. Good Faith Statement - "I have a good faith belief that the use of the described material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
5. Your Signature - Physical or digital signature

Our Response

• Acknowledge within 24 hours
• Investigate within 3-5 business days
• Remove or disable access if we determine it's appropriate
• Notify the uploader of removal
• Content stays removed for at least 10 days

Counter-Notice

If you uploaded a meme and it was removed, you can dispute:

Include:

1. Your name, address, and phone number
2. Identify the removed meme
3. Statement that you believe it was removed in error (with reason)
4. Your signature under penalty of perjury

We will notify the copyright claimant of your counter-notice. They have 10 days to file a lawsuit. If no lawsuit is filed, we restore the content.

Meme Creator Rights

If you created a meme format and see it on Snagg:

1. Create a Creator Account - Email creators@snagg.meme with proof of creation
2. Claim Your Format - Get a "Creator" badge and access your meme metrics
3. Attribution - We'll credit you as creator and link to your profiles

Content We Will Remove

Platform Liability

Snagg qualifies for DMCA safe harbor by:

• ✅ Terminating repeat infringers
