iOS Extensions

Snagg offers several iOS extensions to help you share memes across your device. All extensions share data with the main app via Apple's secure App Groups feature.

Snagg Keyboard Extension

The Snagg keyboard is a custom keyboard that lets you search and insert memes directly while typing in any app. To function, the keyboard requires "Full Access" permission in iOS Settings.

What Full Access enables:

• Network access to search and retrieve memes from our servers
• Access to your Snagg account and saved meme collections
• Syncing your recent meme selections for quick access

What we DO NOT collect:

• We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any text you type
• We do NOT monitor your keystrokes or typing patterns
• We do NOT access content from other apps or the text field

The keyboard only sends search queries you explicitly enter in the meme search bar and tracks which memes you select to improve recommendations.

Home Screen Widgets

Snagg widgets display trending memes and provide quick search access from your home screen. Widgets:

• Periodically refresh to show current trending memes (using iOS's widget refresh system)
• Access your saved collections via App Groups
• Do not collect any additional data beyond what the main app collects

iMessage App

The Snagg iMessage app lets you search and send memes directly in Messages. The extension:

• Accesses the network to search memes when you open the extension
• Tracks meme selections to improve your recommendations
• Does not access or read your iMessage conversations
• Does not collect information about who you message

Siri Shortcuts

Snagg integrates with Siri Shortcuts for voice-activated meme actions. When using Siri with Snagg:

• Voice commands are processed by Apple's Siri (we receive only the parsed intent)
• We receive search queries or action requests, not raw audio
• Shortcuts can access trending memes, random memes, or search results
• Your shortcut usage may be logged to improve the service

App Groups Data Sharing

All Snagg extensions use Apple's App Groups feature to share data securely on your device. This shared data includes:

• Your authentication state (so you stay logged in)
• Your saved meme collections and favorites
• Recent meme selections for quick access
• Your preferences and settings

This data stays on your device and is protected by iOS's sandboxing. It is not shared with third parties.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Personalize your experience and search results
• Process transactions and send related notifications
• Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
• Send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our features
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud and abuse
