Lapwing,also known as Gosling,is a VRChatavatar by Kuji / Long that went viral in April 2025 after a video of its face tracking add-on was posted to X /Twitterby @Hash2305. The character, depicted as ananimegirl with white hair, bangs and pale blue eyes, was released in August 2023 and inspired a variety offan artand content shortly after the April 2025 face tracking video was posted. Lapwing gained the nickname "Gosling" after You Tuber Gas Masked Things posted the comment, "There is no Ryan Gosling reaction image that can fully convey the feels rn" under the face tracking demo, a reference to the"You look so lonely"scene in Blade Runner 2049.
