Starting in late 2023, the tattoo achieved further recognition online following posts about it on Tik Tok, X /Twitterand other platforms, resulting in Spade Suit Emojibeing used for similar purposes online. The tattoo and the use of the phrase "Queen of Spades" have sometimes been criticized as symbolic of the fetishization of Black men.
