The trend began when Ghanaian Tik Toker @maastoneprophetes posted a video saying "Wow, the pressure is getting worser. The guys are giving up and the ladies are weeping." The video then spawned alip-dubtrend before having more widespread fame, going on to be quoted by a Ghanaian pastor and other Tik Tokers in skits.
