Um, Light, That's Not How It Works , also known as Racist Light Yagami , refers to a series of memes parodying a scene in the Death Note anime series in which the character Light Yagami writes down names of criminals, sentencing them to death. The format imagines Light to be racist or hateful towards certain groups and attempting to kill off entire country populations by writing them down in the notebook and Ryuk trying to tell him that the Death Note doesn't work this way.
