Two Ways to Create

Snagg offers two meme creation modes:

Quick Generator

Pick a template, add your text, done. Perfect for fast meme creation with classic formats.

Canvas Editor

Full control over your meme. Upload your own images, place text anywhere, customize fonts and styles.

Quick Generator

The fastest way to make a meme:

  1. Go to the Create page
  2. Select Quick Generator mode
  3. Browse or search for a template
  4. Click a template to select it
  5. Fill in the text fields (top text, bottom text, etc.)
  6. See your meme update in real-time
  7. Download, copy, or share when done

Canvas Editor

For more control over your creation:

  1. Go to the Create page
  2. Select Canvas Editor mode
  3. Search for a template OR upload your own image
  4. Use the canvas tools to:
    • Add text boxes anywhere on the image
    • Change font, size, and color
    • Add outlines and shadows to text
    • Drag and position elements
  5. Preview your creation
  6. Download or share

Template Search

Finding the right template is easy:

  • Search by meme name: "Drake", "Distracted Boyfriend", "This is Fine"
  • Search by description: "two buttons", "woman yelling at cat"
  • Browse popular templates in the picker

AI Title Generation

Not sure what to title your meme? Snagg can help:

  1. Create your meme with text
  2. Click the "Generate Title" button
  3. AI analyzes your meme and suggests a catchy title
  4. Edit the suggestion or use it as-is

Saving Your Creation

Once your meme is ready, you have several options:

  • Download - Save the image to your device
  • Copy URL - Get a shareable link
  • Share - Post directly to social media
  • Save to Collection - Keep it in your Snagg library

Tips for Great Memes

  • Keep text short and punchy
  • Use the template as intended (or subvert it cleverly)
  • White text with black outline is readable on any background
  • Timing is everything - fresh memes spread faster
  • Test your meme - if you have to explain it, simplify it

Upload Your Own Image

In Canvas Editor mode, you can use your own images:

  1. Click "Upload Image" in the Canvas Editor
  2. Select an image from your device
  3. Add text and customize as needed
  4. Create something entirely original
