Snagg memes from across the internet and save them to your collection.

Import via URL

The simplest way to import a meme:

  1. Go to the Import page
  2. Paste the URL of the meme (post URL or direct image URL)
  3. Snagg automatically extracts the image
  4. Preview the meme to make sure it's correct
  5. Add optional tags or notes
  6. Choose a folder to save to
  7. Click Import

Upload from Device

Have a meme saved on your device? Upload it directly:

  1. Go to the Import page
  2. Click "Upload Image" or drag and drop
  3. Select your image file(s)
  4. Add tags and choose a folder
  5. Click Import

Batch Import

Import multiple memes at once:

  1. Select multiple files when uploading
  2. Or paste multiple URLs (one per line)
  3. Preview all imports in a carousel
  4. Apply tags to all imports at once
  5. Choose a folder for the batch
  6. Click Import All

Duplicate Detection

Snagg automatically checks for duplicates:

  • If the exact image is already in your collection, you'll be warned
  • Similar images are flagged for review
  • You can still import duplicates if you want
  • This keeps your collection clean and organized

Browser Extension

The fastest way to snagg memes is with our browser extension:

  1. Install the Snagg extension for Chrome or Firefox
  2. Sign in to connect it to your account
  3. When you see a meme you want:
    • Right-click and select "Save to Snagg"
    • Or click the Snagg icon in your toolbar
  4. Choose a folder (optional)
  5. Done! The meme is saved to your collection

Import Options

When importing, you can customize:

  • Tags - Add custom tags to help find it later
  • Notes - Add personal notes or context
  • Folder - Choose where to save it
  • Submit to Library - Make it available for others to find

Editing Before Import

Need to add text before saving? You can:

  1. Preview the meme on the Import page
  2. Click "Edit Before Import"
  3. Add text or make adjustments
  4. Save the edited version

Troubleshooting

Having trouble importing?

  • URL not working? Try the direct image URL instead of the post URL
  • Private post? Some private content can't be imported
  • Video content? We import video thumbnails, not full videos
  • Extension not syncing? Sign out and back in on the web to reconnect
